I'm working on making better comments on the art that I view. Usually I just don't say anything because it takes time. Most of the comments that I read are vague attaboys, presumably for the same reason. I want to do better than that.

There are so many wonderful things that I can do with my time, yet webcomics could take it all up by themselves! Seriously, I read 180+ webcomics, not counting 50+ that are finished or on hiatus and another 70+ where I'm still working through the archives. Why would I spend that time writing constructive criticism instead?

I already know that it will almost always come down to giving an attaboy or no comment at all. I'm pondering the possiblity that an attaboy would be better than nothing, when that's the choice. I don't think that I'm going to find the answer inside of myself. I shall need to do some more reading to find out what most artists prefer.
